Tagalize it - Update 0.10

This is the “final” update for a while on tagalize it word press plugin. I fixed a few bugs and added a few features.

A full list can be found in the instructions. A short list is as follows.

added directories to the mix
corrected a few issues with both technorati and icerocket url forming
added category links
corrected a pre and post space issue when forming the tags

Tags Available:

* [tag-tec] - basic technorati tag - overides allowed all.
* [tag-ice] - basic ice rocket tag - overides allowed all.
* [tag-dtec] - Directory technorati tag - overides allowed all.
* [tag-self] - Self tag - overides allowed all.
* [tag-cat] - self category tag - only text overide is allowed (will use -)
* [tag-dir] - self search tag - only text overide is allowed (will use +)

A few issues that have arisen are based on the directory that the blog is located. If your blog in installed in the root then no changes should be needed, but if you installed it in a subdirectory then you will have to modify the .php file to reflect that location. This will change later when I add an admin page but for now thats how it is. (the only tags this affects is the self, cat, dir. The others tags will not be affected.

New version of Tagalize It is here.
Added features include:

You are no longer required to use upper case on the tags. So [TAG-TEC] is the same as [Tag-Tec] as is [tag-tec].

The most important change is adding the ability to change the actual link for the tag. This is meant to allow you to change the exact phrase without interrupting the flow of the text. For example if you have the sentence talking about tag and ping. You can force the generated tag to be “ tag and ping ” or “ tag-and-ping ” or “ tagandping “. Without this modifier it will default to “tag+and+ping”. This tag looks like this [tag-tec tag-and-ping]tag and ping[/tag-tec].

As before the following tags are availble:

[tag-tec][/tag-tec]
[tag-ice][/tag-ice]
[tag-self][/tag-self]

For those that want to imbed tags within their posts, I have created an easy way to do it. All you have to do it insert one of the following around the text you want to be hyper-linked to the tag. [TAG-TEC], [TAG-ICE], and [TAG-SELF].
TAG-TEC builds a Technorati tag, TAG-ICE builds a Icerocket tag, and lastly a TAG-SELF will build a Self Refencing Tag.

The way to install this is to download (requires registration) and FTP it to your plugins directory. Login as admin and go to the plugins category and enable the Tagalize It plugin. That’s it.

Using the plugin is as easy as inserting the tags into the blog entry. All text inside the [TAG-TEC] and [/TAG-TEC] will be converted into a tag.
